From 2004 until 2007, Christine worked for National Democratic Institute, first as Country Director in Azerbaijan during the tumultuous period leading up to the country’s 2005 Parliamentary election. She advised the opposition political parties on strategies for addressing election fraud and communicating with and organizing their voters more effectively. She later advised Ukraine’s Presidential Secretariat on how to create a strategic, democratic presidency, focusing on polling, voter outreach and communications. NDI remains one of her main clients.
Until 2003, Christine was partner in Grove Quirk Insight, an opinion research and strategic communications firm based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, she was instrumental in the growth of one of the most respected boutique polling firms in the country. In addition to political campaigns, her clients included various labor unions, environmental organizations, corporations and interest groups seeking strategic advice on how to advance their agenda or alter public perceptions. She continues to advise US clients on research-based advocacy campaigns.
In 2015, Christine moved her base of operation from Istanbul to Nice, in France’s sunny Côte d’Azur. In exchange for spending a few more hours on planes, everything she likes to do—hiking, cycling, swimming, eating and wine drinking—is right outside her front door. She took all the photos on this site while at work on various projects. Many reflect her interest in design and textiles. Quirk Global Strategies is a US LLC and a registered Auto-enterprise in France.
