Christine streamlines the entire research process, including contracting with quality local polling firms in–country, developing focus group guides and survey questionnaires, overseeing local data collection efforts, drafting of results reports to share with media and stakeholders, and participation in press events when needed.

Research in Support of Effective Programming

Whatever your measurement goal, QGS will help you design a research program, identify a target universe and select the best methodology to reach that target within your timeframe, budget and logistical constraints. Involving us in the project design phase ensures that the final M&E plan will capture the data that support your indicators and measure change.

We have a deep understanding of the trade-offs inherent in each methodological approach and are able to recommend a program that will meet program objectives while maintaining the best achievable standards, often the stickiest challenge facing MEL projects in difficult environments. Sometimes, our creativity is our most valuable skill!

In 2018 QGS completed two MEL projects assessing a media project targeting at-risk youth in Morocco and Lebanon. Both required extensive staff development and creative tools for reaching the target audience.

We also designed a program in Bangladesh to help local NGOs measure the impact of their CVE programming.

In Syria, despite extreme circumstances, Christine Quirk oversaw qualitative and quantitative data collection measuring the impact of local governance programs.
